Terms of Service

The rules of the road for using AscendSync Code. Last updated May 27, 2026.

By signing in to AscendSync Code you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the application.

1. Authorized use

AscendSync Code is currently restricted to users with @ascendhrcorp.com or @rollisfontenot.com email addresses. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. Sharing accounts, attempting to bypass access controls, or impersonating another user is prohibited.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the application to:

• Generate or distribute content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes intellectual-property rights
• Attempt to extract training data, model weights, or trade secrets from any AI provider
• Submit confidential third-party information you do not have rights to share
• Submit protected health information (PHI) — this application is not HIPAA compliant
• Submit payment card data or other PCI-regulated information
• Violate the published acceptable-use policies of any AI provider we route to (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter)
• Reverse-engineer, probe, scan, or otherwise attempt to compromise the application or its underlying infrastructure
• Use the application to build a competing product or to train a competing model

3. AI output disclaimer

AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, biased, incomplete, or fabricated. You are responsible for verifying any AI output before relying on it. AscendSync Code does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice.

4. Your content

You retain all rights in the content you submit (prompts, files, personal context). By using the application, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:

• Transmit your content to the AI provider you select
• Store it within your account so you can access it later
• Process it as needed to operate the service

We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not use it to train any model — see our Privacy Policy.

5. AI provider terms

Each AI provider we route to has its own terms of use and acceptable use policy. By selecting a model, you also agree to that provider's published terms.

6. Service availability

We provide the service on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime, performance, or availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. AI providers may change pricing, deprecate models, or experience outages outside our control.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if your authorized email domain is removed from the access list, or if required by law. You may stop using the application at any time and request account deletion per our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The application is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ascend HR Corp and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — arising from your use of the application. Our total cumulative liability is limited to USD $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ascend HR Corp from any claims arising out of (a) content you submit, (b) your violation of these terms, or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Ascend HR Corp is a Texas corporation. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and notify users in-product when changes are material. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
